Happyness

Been busy for the past few days months, not that I am complaining, its just that I am kinda overwhelmed and in the process of ironing things out. Anyway, so to my billions millions thousands okay, it is just wishful thinking. To my soon to be followers, *hint *hint, here is my once in a blue moon post. I guess with all the negative things happening around the world, we need a little something to enlighten us, especially this coming holiday season.

Oh, subject of this email is not even connected to the movie of Will Smith, The Pursuit of Happyness. Nor the connected to the book of the same title by Chris Gardner. Though I must say that the movie is very inspiring one. So if you have not watched it, I suggest you do. Otherwise, why not the book instead. =)

“We tend to forget that happiness doesn't come as a result of getting something we don't have, but rather of recognizing and appreciating what we do have.”

“The reason people find it so hard to be happy is that they always see the past better than it was, the present worse than it is, and the future less resolved than it will be”

“When one door of happiness closes, another opens; but often we look so long at the closed door that we do not see the one which has been opened for us.”

“To be happy with a man you must understand him a lot and love him a little. To be happy with a woman you must love her a lot and not try to understand her at all.”

“We have no right to ask when a sorrow comes, 'Why did this happen to me?' unless we ask the same question for every joy that comes our way.”

“Don't rely on someone else for your happiness and self worth. Only you can be responsible for that. If you can't love and respect yourself - no one else will be able to make that happen. Accept who you are - completely; the good and the bad - and make changes as YOU see fit - not because you think someone else wants you to be different.”

“This is my wish for you: Comfort on difficult days, smiles when sadness intrudes, rainbows to follow the clouds, laughter to kiss your lips, sunsets to warm your heart, hugs when spirits sag, beauty for your eyes to see, friendships to brighten your being, faith so that you can believe, confidence for when you doubt, courage to know yourself, patience to accept the truth, Love to complete your life.
